Social Media Resident

Pursuit Digital is hiring a part-time Social Media Resident to join our growing social team. If you’re ready to step into a social media role where you feel valued, align culturally, and can contribute meaningfully to a team, this is the position for you!

You'll work directly alongside both our social and production teams helping to manage, distribute, and plan excellent content for organizations across Knoxville and beyond. Our Social Media Resident will help manage client accounts alongside our Director of Social Media, gaining comprehensive social media management experience.

What You'll Do:

• Write captivating captions and publish excellent content across clients’ social media platforms.
• Serve on-set, helping our social and production teams capture content.
• Plan and execute creative ideas for social media clients.
• Help manage client accounts, including scheduling content, platform management, and coordinating with clients.
• Assist with paid social campaigns and reporting, learning the ins and outs of how we manage social.
• Collaborate with our production and social departments to create excellent content for the clients we serve.

Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
• Highly creative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must live in or near Knoxville year-round.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Prior social media management experience, either by freelancing, working in another social role, or managing accounts for an organization.
• Basic photography skills and photo editing experience.
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, paid social, and analytics.

• $20/hour, plus bonuses via our profit-share bonus program.

This is a part-time, in-person, hourly position, with a flexible schedule and local travel for content shoots.

Our Residency Program

The Pursuit Digital Residency Program is a hands-on development track for emerging creatives who want real agency experience.

Residents work directly alongside our directors on active client projects across web, video, and social, not watching from the sidelines. The purpose of the program is simple: to provide meaningful hands-on learning in a professional environment, sharpen creative and organizational skills, and build a portfolio of work that reflects high standards and real-world expectations.
